Since returning home from prison just ten weeks ago, Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and producer John Forte has wasted no time satiating his hunger to make music. This past Thursday, John was among several surprise guests including Talib Kweli, Chrisette Michelle, and Pharoahe Monch, to join The Roots onstage at Highline Ballroom in NYC. He will be making his first live public performance in eight years for Kweli's SXSW Blacksmith Records showcase on Thursday, March 19th at Scoot Inn.
